Mohd Rafi  (December 24, 1924 - July 31, 1980), was an Indian playback singer whose career spanned four decades.

Rafi was a versatile singer of Indian cinema and sang in many Indian languages including Hindi, Urdu, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, Sindhi, Kannada, Gujarati and Telugu. He was one of the leading male singers in the Hindi film music industry from the 1950s to the 1980s.

Listen to Mohd. Rafi's great Bhajans, Comedy, fun songs, Qawalis, Bhangras, Desh Bhakti Songs (Indian Patriotic Songs) .

Rafi gave his voice to almost all the Actors and Comedians of bollywood including Kishore Kumar during his singing carreer.

In Bollywood, yodeling is generally associated with Kishore Kumar but Rafi introduced yodeling in Indian film as playback singing. Rafi yodeled in some of his old songs, such as "Hello sweety seventeen" (duet with Asha Bhosle), "O Chale ho kaha", "Dilke Aine main", and "Unse Rippy Tippy Ho gayee" (duet with Geeta Dutt).

No body on earth can match his golden voice style and range even today.
